Change of Venue Guidelines

Questions about venue have been thorny issues for the Court. The statutes are ambiguous on where venue lies. Venue can be in any of the 77 Oklahoma counties by agreement of the parties and the Court, although practitioners normally think of it as residing in Oklahoma or Tulsa counties where courtrooms designated for workers' compensation hearings are located. In a final attempt to resolve the issue in a fair and consistent manner, I have adopted change of venue guidelines which will also be used in determining forum non conveniens.
