"You can't fire me, I'm drunk!"

So you think we're having fun in Oklahoma! Drunkenness is apparently a protected work activity in Peru.

The Supreme Court of Peru reinstated Pablo Cayo to his job as a janitor for the City of Chorrillos after he appealled his firing for being drunk on the job. Read the whole story on Reuters.

  1. I saw this yesterday and was totally amazed! I suppose culture plays into this, but when it comes to the safety of others, let alone myself, I can't imagine! We have so many fast paced machines, heavy equipment, chemicals, in our workplaces, that a drunk is a catalyst for big problems.
