McCullar Resigns from CompSource

On Wednesday Terry McCullar resigned as president and chief executive officer of CompSource Oklahoma. After serving 14 years as chief executive officer of the company, McCullar will take a position with a with a Dallas-based private insurance company. Board members appointed Jason Clark, CompSource’s claims director, to serve as interim president and CEO effective March 14.

According to the Journal-Record, "during McCullar’s tenure, the company has prospered, growing from $80 million to $200 million in written premiums, building up a substantial surplus and adding new policyholders." All are moves that have stabilized the insurance market in Oklahoma ensuring that employers and workers are protected.

CompSource has gone from the political playground of Oklahoma's power brokers to a skilled, professional organization that should be a model for others. It is an excellent example of the efficiency and accountability we get from our Oklahoma-based insurance carriers. McCullar took the last step, leading CompSource from good to great.
